Campus Quotient, an organization focused on Enterprise Readiness of colleges across India, organized an connect with the leadership and management from colleges in Trichy. The event was organized by CQ Engagement Director for Tamil Nadu, Dr. E. Andrew Santhosh and featured IT industry veterans and talent development experts from different parts of the country. This event was attended by management of five colleges - Holy Cross College, Jamal Mohamed College, Cauvery College, St. Joseph's College and Bishop Heber College.
Enterprise Readiness is the measure of employability. Students from tier-3 and tier-4 colleges miss out on job opportunities, despite being very good academically. Campus Quotient helps such students by connecting them to industry professionals from Tier-1 city companies. The course focuses on employability by providing students industry mentors who are actually engaged in hiring and training employees. Industry veterans will be visiting the campuses and interacting with students, guiding them on how to develop skills that are industry relevant and in demand. The event also laid out plans for transformation of professors into industry mentors. This transformation of the campus and professors will make 'Enterprise Readiness' part of the campus DNA, building industry relevance and a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. CQ Director, Mrs. Yaminee Balasubramanian was also present for the event - "CQ is committed to helping colleges across India. It is a special privilege though to come back to my roots and help students in Tamil Nadu."
The Enterprise Readiness courses will be conducted across the five colleges starting June and will lead to better internship opportunities and placement for students of participating colleges.
Session starts in July.
